Your Rights as an NDIS Participant
At Kennix Care, we believe that every individual has the right to feel safe, respected, and empowered. As an NDIS participant receiving support from Kennix Care, you have fundamental rights guaranteed under the NDIS Act 2013 and the NDIS Code of Conduct.
1. Your Core Rights
- Choice and Control: You have the right to choose who supports you, how services are delivered, and when they occur.
- Dignity and Respect: You have the right to be treated with respect, fairness, and cultural sensitivity free from discrimination.
- Privacy and Confidentiality: Your personal and medical records are kept secure and private in accordance with Australian law.
- Dignity of Risk: You have the right to make your own decisions and take reasonable risks to pursue your goals.
- Freedom from Abuse and Neglect: You have the right to live and receive care in a safe environment free from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or discrimination.
2. Independent Advocacy Support
You have the right to involve an independent advocate, family member, or trusted friend at any stage during your intake, planning, or service reviews. If you need assistance finding an independent advocate in Western Australia, you can contact:
